Why This Resource Exists
Georgia makes many jail, court, corrections, and release records available to the public, subject to legal restrictions. Access is still fragmented. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Office operates the local jail and maintains its booking and release records. The Georgia Department of Corrections runs the state offender search used for Rogers State Prison, Smith State Prison, and other GDC facilities. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles provides parole tools, while the Georgia Department of Community Supervision handles felony probation and parole supervision in the community.
Federal releases use the Bureau of Prisons system, and immigration custody uses a separate ICE locator. This site organizes those record sources, release-status checks, supervision lookups, and request steps. It does not merge them into a new government database.
What Readers Can Find
The content is arranged around practical release questions and the custody authority responsible for each answer.
- The home page provides the full released-inmate search and release-record request path, with focused help for projected release dates, the VINELink check, and parole and probation.
- Separate facility pages cover Tattnall County Jail, active and closed state prisons, transitional placement, municipal arrests, and federal or immigration custody routes.
- Instructions show how the county inmate inquiry and GDC offender search differ, especially after a person leaves the current roster.
- Records-request guidance explains how to ask the proper custodian for a booking record, release detail, or legally releasable booking photograph.
Limits of This Site
This is a private reference site. It has no affiliation with Tattnall County, the Sheriff's Office, any jail, the Georgia Department of Corrections, the Parole Board, DCS, or another government agency.
- We cannot release, detain, hold, or transfer anyone.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a reader.
- We do not provide legal advice or act as a lawyer.
- We cannot promise that every address, fee, office hour, or phone number remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections agency, court, or other custodian can confirm current custody, charges, release, or an official record. This site can identify the likely source, but the source controls the answer.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside providers. Those companies control their own results, signup terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the public reference pages available without charge. We do not set a partner's fees and cannot alter its records or search output.
